Ocean Series II: Scripps Pier

Scripps Pier

These shots were taken in La Jolla - San Diego, CA at Sunset, with my 100-400mm telephoto lens. The telephoto lens will help in decreasing the distance of the background and foreground. Basically it creates an illusion of lesser depth of field so that things that are far apart seem closer together -perspective control. Usually perspective of architecture is taken in wideangle, but here I chose the unconventional telephoto perspective for architecture detail. I know most everyone visiting this area must have a picture of this - but here is my twist. Check out more shots by others: Scripps Pier. Hope you enjoy these pictures.
