My Trip began as I headed from LAX to Chicago O Hare airport for a transit stop and from here to Charles De Gaulle PARIS!! :] (Lufthansa if you must know the airlines). Its been amazing to see this side of the world from the sky. Usually when I fly towards India its the view of the big empty ocean - which is in its unique way fun and boring. :] This time I spent most of my time in the Air looking out the window with a camera in my hand ofcourse. Here are some arial shots of my flight journey. Enjoy! :]

New Gear to the Family - 85mm f/1.2
Since I am heading on this wonderful trip - I decided to spend my saved budget for Canon Mark III (which hasn't been released yet) into a NEW LENS. I think a prime lens is a must in any photographers pack. So purchased a 85mm f/1.2 L lens. I already have 50mm f/1.4 (not prime) so couldnt buy it in prime. So here is to purchasing the 85mm f/1.2. Cant wait to share results from Paris and Chennai. :]

Arabella : a story in cinemagraph
Albert Einstein once said: “the most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: his eyes are closed.” This is what I feel a cinemagraph brings to a photograph, the mysterious. I have recently been obsessed with Cinemagraphs. Its a recent revival of old photo world technique called stereograph, a combo of two pictures. Here is a series of video converted into moving photographs that I did with a young and talented model named Arabella. All the shots are edited in a Cinemagraph technique. This has been a good learning experience and I love it thus far. Please share your thoughts! :]

New Blog Look
I dunno if you are one of those people who likes changing things around them. If you ask my mom she would say I change too often. Move the furniture, paint the room different colors, change the style...I think I do all of that a little too much. Here is the new look to my blog. I think Im in love with it! :] Hopefully new change means new ventures! And just for fun...Here is how it looked before:
