Smell the flowers

Vogue'd Uno Mas!
Its always wonderful being recognized in Vogue Italia. Here is another one of my shots that was approved. check out the look...eeks...excitement! I hope to keep pursuing this journey. no matter what the bumps and holes I have to cross over. I really hope you as an audience understand that a Photographer doesn't just mean taking pictures because you own a camera and you know the technique of proper lighting. Its about expression. A visual personality. Its about color. The feel. I love this capture and it is one of my favorite shoots thus far. Especially because we got to play with bunnies.

Happy Spring!

I had the priviledge of working with a wonderful local designer. Her work is beyond amazing. The style and the cut of the clothes are something that pleased me. Here is the behind the scenes video from this shoot. And yes we have bunnies...bounce bounce! :]

Warrior Princess

So today was a scary day for me. Not only was this my first shoot with a horse it was also the first time someone got hurt at the photoshoot. Everything was going great. The makeup and hair was coming along wonderfully, the designer brought some gorgeous dresses for the gorgeous model to wear and the horse was getting brushed ready for the shoot. As we move to the grass area we hear wind picking up, still everything was fine. And we get to this perfect location - trees all around, the greenest grass you could ever find, everything looking gorgeous. The model gets ready to go on the horse and all of a sudden the wind picks up as she is climbing on the horse and the horse decides to throw her over. She flips over the front of the horse and lands on the grass. I think one of the bravest models I have ever seen. I learned a lot today - nothing is predictable and even if everything is perfect you have to take small steps. And people's safety is first and foremost! Super glad to share that the model is doing great and she only suffered a sprain on her hand. Thank you chauntelle for being so brave! Models like you really show what this Industry is all about - strength and beauty!

Zion national park in Utah is on the way to bryce and other Utah destinations. Since its on the way to most Utah and Arizona parks its easy for tourist to spend a day visiting this beautiful mountain park. Zion is a Mormon word for a heavenly place, and this park definitely embodies that word. I spent a bright sunny day at Zion national Park in May visiting the most popular destination, the narrows. To get to the narrows is a 1mile walk passing across a beautiful river and the mountain side filled with hanging gardens. From the 1mile is a 5mile walk through the river to the proper narrows, which i was unable to do since i did not have the proper gear. This is will be my goal for the next visit. So from just the 1mile i was able to get some good shots of the spring greenary in the park. So here are some pictures taken from this short trip at Zion:
