Big Sur & Along the Way

Big Sur, CA

We spent few days driving to Big Sur from San Diego this summer. OMG it was such an amazing drive. I have to say I got extra proud that I live in Cali because of this drive. The drive was super fun- Ocean on one side and cliffs/rocks on the other. And the weather was just perfect! Super sun + occasional rain clouds! And I have to mention the Water! The Ocean color was in a blissful blue. A color you do not see in San Diego and more like it should have been part of a tropical island. I probably stopped at every corner of the drive to take pictures because everything was so beautiful. The flower bloom just gave this place extra colors to catch your eyes. I spent sunset at what I call the Paradise Falls, which is actually the McWay falls at Pfeiffer State Park. I call it the Paradise falls because I think I probably have seen in my dreams as the perfect paradise. No humans at the beach - just the sea, sand and water. Big Sur is a must go place for anyone!

Pacific Coast Wildlife

Headed this month thru the famous Pacific Coast Highway and here are some wild animals we saw along the way - A Sea Otter Family near Morro Bay and A Group of young Elephant Seals bear San Luis Obispo. It was wonderful seeing such vivacious animals. :]

I love my mother. I think everyone shares a special bond with their mothers and I am lucky to have this bond with my mom. She is my best friend, my teacher, my everything - everything that I am today. So Thanks mom for always believing in me. These were shots we took for fun in matching colored Sarees. :]

Here are some images from Fridays’s shoot with Model Alexis. A gorgeous Agency represented model I had been planning to work with for more than a month. Finally I got dates with her and a wonderful location to do the photoshoot. I love these editorial type shoots as I learn so much on each one. I think its important for me as a photographer to keep trying new things and keeping the creative juices flowing. The shoot was organised by myself and Cydney Hernandez, a San Diego based Make up and Hair Artist. I’m going to split the blog post up into many parts as we had very different looks and themes. I must say this Model was wonderful to shoot with and it was very hard for me to choose any image or delete anything for that matter. Thanks Alexis! :]

Here is the first look- A gorgeous off-white dress rosette dress. I had her stand in front of purple potato flowers. I also placed her in front of a tree for the natural light shot as the sun pierced thru the tree. All the images here below are shot with natural light.
